A first-generation immigrant of Guinean heritage with a background in Health Sciences, Aïda Bangoura is a manager in social accountability in medical education

She is driven by a deep commitment to social justice and working to dismantle systemic inequities. She is passionate about creating spaces in education and healthcare that are inclusive, anti-racist, and rooted in the belief that quality education is a powerful tool for empowerment. Her vision is grounded in intersectionality, recognizing that the interconnectedness of race, gender, and social identity shapes people's lived experiences and access to opportunities.

Aïda’s dedication to solidarity and collective action led her to Sayaspora, where she works alongside other change-makers to uplift and amplify the voices of young African people in the diaspora

Through her involvement, she celebrates the beauty of diverse experiences, fosters joy in empowerment, and creates spaces for storytelling, connection, and vibrant social change.
