Events
We organize events which aim to showcase the diverse initiatives and creations
made by members of the African Diaspora.
Diaspora Speaking
All too often, the African Diaspora is seen as an entity totally separate from the African continent. This statement is in some ways true, only the role of the Diaspora is much more complex than it appears. With the rise of new technologies, the connections between Africa and its Diaspora are constantly expanding. It is time to make our voice heard: Hello world, it’s the DIASPORA SPEAKING!
Diaspora Speaking is an annual event that aims to celebrate the diverse achievements of women and youth from the African Diaspora. A content-rich event where we invite you to network, share, discover and learn.

Making Your Way Up
MAKING YOUR WAY UP puts forward online and offline resources that will allow young women from visible minorities or immigrants to strengthen their participation and their accessibility to the job market. The goal is to offer young women a support network and to create a network of mentor-mentees.
We are looking for partners to carry out this project!

RENFORCEMENT 360

In 2020 SAYASPORA has obtained a grant from the Department of Canadian Heritage for its project: RENFORCEMENT 360. RENFORCEMENT 360 consisted in strengthening SAYASPORA’s capacity to act.
Indeed, through the recruitment of new volunteers, trainings for our team, the expansion of our network, as well as the development of a funding and communication strategy, this project supported us in achieving our goal: Becoming a platform that amplifies the voices of young women from the African Diaspora.
Many thanks to Heritage Canada for the trust!
