Sayafeels saison 2

On what criteria should one commit to a relationship? - Sayasfeels season 2

Episode 1

Sayafeels returns for a second season, and this time, it’s the voices of Sayaspora that take the mic.

Through this series of authentic conversations, we delve unfiltered into the complex, sometimes contradictory, always rich realities we experience as young women of the African diaspora in Canada.

This season is an invitation to slow down, to reflect, to express ourselves, to listen.

We will talk about love, identity, relationships, culture, and vulnerability. But above all, we will talk about ourselves—about what it means to move between multiple worlds, to juggle often conflicting social expectations, to navigate spaces where our cultural references are both a strength and a challenge.
Each episode is a safe space for open dialogue where we address the real questions: How do we experience love here, far from the norms of our communities of origin? How do we construct our identity in a country that doesn’t always reflect us?
What persistent taboos do we want to break?
And above all: how can we create our own points of reference, as women, diasporic, Afro-descendant, conscious, and seeking alignment?

In this first episode, Priscilla, Maty, and Djamilla share their rather different perspectives on the criteria that influence our choices regarding commitment. Between the weight of the past, social status, family expectations, and cultural differences between Canada and our countries of origin, we dissect together the elements that can make or break a relationship. 💬✨

Tell us in the comments: what are the most important criteria for you before committing to a relationship?
