Introduction SayaCare: a space of care, knowledge and community

SayaCare was born out of a vital need: to create spaces for women from the African diaspora where health, care, and expression can finally exist without compromise, while respecting cultural, social, and lived realities.
This introductory video opens the series by laying the foundations of what SayaCare represents: a direct response to a glaring lack. Too many women from the African diaspora find themselves alone in a healthcare system that does not see them, does not hear them, and does not have the cultural tools to support them with dignity.
Through workshops, discussion circles, podcast episodes, and resources available in multiple languages, SayaCare offers a community-based model of care, designed by and for women in the African diaspora. This introduction presents the six guests of the season, the vision behind the project, and the message to every woman watching: you are not alone. Your experiences are valid. And there are spaces for you.
It also introduces the SayaCare Guide: a practical tool translated into seven languages, designed to support women according to their migratory, cultural, social, and systemic realities, and the complete ecosystem of resources available on the Sayaspora platform, in the Health section. A committed and necessary opening.
