MIMI MARIAM DIARRA
Editor
Mimi Mariam Diarra is an attorney and an avid scholar, holding a degree in civil law (LL.L.) and a degree in common law (J.D.). She has practiced criminal law for over a year, a field in which she has developed a particular interest. She also has a keen interest in issues related to access to justice and social justice, which drive her legal aspirations.
At the same time, writing and reading are for her synonymous with peace and refuge. Being able to express herself and enable other women to do so through this art brings her a deep sense of joy and lightness. As a member of the African diaspora, specifically from Mali, she is proud to serve as an editor for Sayaspora magazine. She aspires to offer women in the diaspora a “safe space,” mirroring the one she herself finds through writing and reading articles
that allow her to reconnect with her identity
