JOB OFFER – PROJECT MANAGER

Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will assist her in all project management activities assigned to her.

Position description

As part of this mandate, funded by the Ville de Montréal, the project manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the project plan, meeting deadlines and monitoring the assigned budget. Temporary 11-month mandate with possibility of renewal.

The person will have to…

  • Coordinate and carry out resource planning for assigned projects and ensure the smooth production of mandates under its governance;
  • Design and implement project performance evaluation tools;
  • Responsible for producing and distributing video documentaries and events on urban and digital security issues.
  • Ensure implementation of overall marketing strategy (publication tracking, community interaction, calendar management, deadline tracking);
  • Participate in the creation of general content distributed on social media (research, formatting of information, etc.);
  • Ensure consistency between proposed strategies and Media's business development objectives;
  • Proactively identify development opportunities with current and future partners, and collaborate with potential partners;
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on all other tasks related to the position.

Ideally, the person will have…

  • Bachelor's degree in political science, communications, marketing or related field
  • Relevant experience in project management and event organization
  • Familiarity with various social networking platforms (mainly Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn)
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects in parallel
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French and good knowledge of written English

Position features

  • Remote working environment - 90% of the time ;
  • Possibility of working a few weeks a year outside the country (must be based in Canada);
  • Need to travel in the greater Montreal area for filming and events;
  • Access to a computer and a reliable Internet connection are essential;
  • The person must be available 1 Saturday out of 2 for meetings with volunteers (lasting 2 hours and mainly online).
