Sayaspora is looking for a Lead Fundraising Consultant to be involved for 35 hours per month.

Position description

Sayaspora is a media company whose mission is to amplify the voices of young women from the African diaspora through engaging and innovative initiatives. As an organization, Sayaspora is committed to empowering women by giving them the tools to tell their stories and positively influence their communities.

The person will have to…

  • Draw up a financing plan and ensure its proper development to support Sayaspora's initiatives.
  • Complete funding applications and identify grant opportunities tailored to the medium
  • Develop and implement fundraising tools
  • Manage regular follow-ups with funding partners to maintain good relations
  • Process and track donations received at Sayaspora fundraising events
  • Manage and support the donor recruitment, solicitation and retention process
  • Monitor funding programs and donations for which Sayaspora may be eligible
  • Work closely with the Partnership Manager to ensure synergy between fundraising efforts and business development initiatives
  • Assume other tasks and responsibilities defined by management, according to Sayaspora's evolving needs

Ideally, the person will have…

  • Proven experience in managing fundraising projects, particularly in the non-profit or community sector
  • Ability to write fundraising proposals and follow up on administrative aspects of donations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain strong links with funding partners
  • Strong autonomy and ability to work closely with other departments
  • Ability to organize and manage fundraising events
  • Knowledge of digital fundraising tools and crowdfunding platforms
  • Passion for gender equality, diversity and women's issues in the African diaspora
