{"id":102174,"date":"2019-10-11T16:39:35","date_gmt":"2019-10-11T16:39:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sayaspora.com\/?p=102174"},"modified":"2025-05-14T10:32:22","modified_gmt":"2025-05-14T14:32:22","slug":"endiaspora-speaking-hows-life-going-frdiaspora-speaking-comment-va-la-vie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sayaspora.com\/en\/endiaspora-speaking-hows-life-going-frdiaspora-speaking-comment-va-la-vie\/","title":{"rendered":"Diaspora Speaking: How&#8217;s life going?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diaspora Speaking: An online and offline festival on mental health in the African diaspora.\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #8c6f2a;\">Diaspora Speaking is back for a third edition, this time in the form of an online and offline festival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Originally created as a space to celebrate the interconnections between the continent and its diaspora while highlighting the different achievements of youth stemming from the African diaspora; this new edition will take a different turn. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, we are placing the theme of mental health at the forefront of our priorities and we\u2019re using our media platform to highlight a subject that is still taboo in the diaspora, and on the continent.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During one week, we will cover subjects such as wellness, therapy, education and much more on our social media: @sayaspora [Instagram, Facebook, Twitter]; and on October 26, we will close the festival with an IRL event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Program:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #8c6f2a;\">| Oct. 20 &#8211; 1pm to 2pm | Let&#8217;s talk about mental health! &#8211; Online conversation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For this conversation, we would like to open a discussion on both sides of the Atlantic. From Montreal to Paris, how do we conceive of our mental health? What are the preconceived ideas? Is it easy to really take care of yourself? Attend the conversation between our speakers in Paris and Montreal.
